You will be able to hear it when you open the freezer door and hold the door switch in.It is located behind the rear panel inside the freezer. The fan should be running when the compressor is running. If it is running make sure the damper(vent) to the fridge side is not blocked by ice and that the damper door is open.
How to check
everything http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper)
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make
sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to
run. There is a flap you adjust with
the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust
the fridge temp. The problem could be the electronic control if
you have one or the mechanical linkages.
We had the same issues with the water freezing and called a technician out. He added some extra insulation installed around the water lines inside the refrigerator and we also keep our frig at 40 degrees Fahrenheit, slightly above the manufacturers default setting. Hope this helps.
Any adjustment is at the hinge, you probably find that you have fitted it too close and it is pinching the gasket in the corner. Tilting the fridge back can help, but the doors must be able to swing closed freely first. This can be done by adjusting the footing screws below the front of the fridge.
i would check the door closure, uderthe refrig door , sort of a "cam" style washer the wants to have the door close.. part number 67003638. $5 for the part
since no one is answering I do have some knowledge, check the defrost thermostat, which puts the unit in defrost mode to melt small frost build-ups, also check seal on your door to make sure you are not getting warm air leaking into freezer, good luck
