I have just bought this radio, and initially it all worked ok then after turning it off one time and turning on again it went to set up screen and all stations and presets were lost. Have fiddled with it for hours and still the same every time turned off all settings lost. Looks like a common problem, although it worked ok to start with. I bought this on e-bay new, but it is an Argos product, so it looks as though they might have sold some off cheap. It is very annoying as otherwise a very good little radio. At one point I got 54 stations on DAB and 14 on FM.

DEMO MODE STAYING ON

You should rewire it, if i remember correctly yellow wire should be connected to constant + (or directly to battery +) so the radio doesn't lose any settings when you turn it off

Yaesu ft-270 power on err is displayed on lcd

This usually indicates a problem with the firmware, or the radio thinks that it is connected to a computer but it isn't. Basically, it is failing self test.

It might also be due to corrupted memory as well. You can reset the radio by popping the door off the bottom of the unit, and turning the switch marked backup off. Then apply power to the radio, and turn radio on. Everything has just been reset, and with a bit of luck, might begin to act like you would expect. The Backup switch turns the memory battery on and off. If it is dead, it may need to be replaced before the radio loses power again. See below for link to manual.

it sounds like you don't have the yellow wire going to a constant power source. the ;yellow wire provides the power for retaining memory.
