You don't have very much information here to give you a better diagnosis, like the model or the error code, but I'll take a shot at it. If you're thinking that the flashing list filter light is the error code you can relax. The lint filter light ALWAYS flashes at the end of a cycle or before you hit the start button to begin a cycle. This is just a reminder to check the filter. If your dyer is displaying an E:01 code this indicates blockage in the venting system. Do the simple thing 1st. wash your lint filter with some dish soap and running water, lightly scrubbing it with your finger tips. After rinsing clean pat the filter dry and re install it in the dryer. While you have the filter out look down in the filter holder area and see if you have lint built up there. They make brushes for cleaning this area or you can use a vacuum cleaner attachment to reach in there and **** out the lint. If you still have an E:01 error after doing all this you may need to have your house vent pipe cleaned. But before you do this check your vent hood where the dyer vent exhausts out of the house. If it's obstructed you found your problem
That is indeed perfectly normal. It is actually changing direction each time it stops and starts. That`s how those particular Bosch operate.
On another note, if you operate the unit on the "auto dry" cycles without enough items or extremely light weight materials in it, the dryer will stop since it cannot "sense" the garments.
Otherwise it`s all good !
Good luck.

The lint light keeps coming on and shuts the dryer off so clothes are not dry. I checked the filter and it is clear. Now the bottom of filter is cracked (plastic part) so I need to replace. But why does the lint light come on now after 5 years of use? It never came on before even when the lint filter was full?
Hi Guys...
At least I can shed some light on how to open the bottom part.
When you are looking into the dryer with the door open, take a look at the bottom hinge of the door. There is what looks like to be button popped out slightly..
Place your thumb on it and press. This should open the bottom part of the dryer. Then clear out the gap between where the lint filter connects to the other units below it (when the door is closed...)
Hope this makes sense... there seems to be a sensor there..
I just cleaned mine so praying that the beeps stop.. Its been driving us mad for the last 8 months!
The Bosch Dryer has a temperature probe in the heater exit and in the exhaust area visible when you open the door. If the temperature difference between the two gets to high, the lint filter is assumed to be plugged and the alarm goes off.
It seems that the temperature probe at the heater, can end up with a faulty connection to the control panel over time due to corroded contacts or lint build up. When this happens the control panel thinks the filter is clogged and it may also not turn on the heating elements properly. Remove the back cover over the heating element (12 screws) and then remove the one screw holding the red wiring connection to the dryer body. You can then wiggle out the wiring connection and clean / unplug and replug in the connector for the sensor. (plug with two small wires only). A little hard feeding the connector back through the hole so take your time and don't damage the wires). Should all work again. May want to inspect inside the heater at same time and make sure the overheating switch is not tripped. ( press in the red button).
