any iron can be cleaned by running a little water and vinegar through it several times, it loosens the scale build up that gets in all irons over time, be sure and try to clean out the venting steam holes in the face of the iron, Once you do this, run clean clear water through it and you should be fine, if possible, always use bottled water (purified) water in irons
You must reset the outside unit every time you change a battery. To rest insert a paperclip into the small whole marked "reset". Temperatures should now appear on the inside or remote unit.
