Hi I got Logitech S-220 2.1-CH PC multimedia speaker sys, it is new but when I connect to my laptop, the sub woofer and one side speaker is not working. I think I didn't assemble properly, Please help...

That would follow. How can we tell you if that is so? Did you follow the directions?

Try swapping things around to isolate the probable flaky connection(s) or bad speaker(s). Test ONLY AT LOW VOLUME until you resolve it.

Volume down button is not working

power reseting it should work, pop out the batteries, press every button twice and put new ones in, if that doesnt work a solder joint might have come undone, if your a techypop it open, if your not please do not risk voiding your warranty and call logitech fr a replacement or take it back to the store

Speaker stops after a few minutes

I was having the same problem but I seemed to solve it by having the laptop volume maxed and using the dock to control volume. I think that it has a sleep function where if it is not getting a signal it powers off and for some reason the laptop isn't putting out a strong enough signal to keep it awake. Maxing the laptop volume seems to give it a constant enough signal so that the problem went away.

Only getting half the volume

The first things I would check would be the volume control within your operating system. If I assume you have Windows XP, you would go to Start-->All Program-->Accessories-->Entertainment and click "Volume Control". Make sure all of the sliders are at least 1/2 way up. You might also want to check to make sure the cable from the speakers to the computer is plugged into the proper jack (usually the green one), as sometimes computers have jacks for rear speakers, which might make them sound quieter.
