The problem might be your speakers. Try a different set of speakers to where your TV system. Maybe the speakers inside the TV is bad.

Lately the audio in my prototype video game has been making a crackling sound i tried searching everywhere i couldn't find any answers.

Hello rossilli and welcome to FixYa. The problem you are having is a glitch within the game that Activision never addressed. It most commonly happens when gunfire and explosions are going on. The PC version has the same problem but at least they have a fix as where the PS3 version does not. The good news is your disc and PS3 are fine. =D I hope you found this helpful and happy easter.

While playing call of duty 4, the explosions make the TV's speaker go to a loud crackling noise, Only this game does it.

That's because explosions are pretty much only low frequencies, otherwise known as bass. Your tv crackles because the low frequency emitters of your tv are either of low quality or malfunctioning. If you lower the volume of your tv it should fix the problem.

Hd tv but no hdmi plugin, standard red, white yellow plug...when there is a loud noise (explosion, dino roaring etc)I get a loud crackling noise from speakers that actually drowns out the sound fx on a ps3...

Sounds like more of a tv speaker problem then your ps3. You can change the audio settings on the XMB dashboard of your ps3. I think they are default at max.

PS3 hdmi Audio problem Crackling Sounds

Go to audio options, and manually DE-select Digital 5.1. That should fix it. It did for me.
