Monitor configuration Hi, I have Vista running on a Dell XPS hooked up to a LG 22 inch monitor. I can't seem to get the appropriate configuration in Vista to optimize viewing.
Did you also install the LG software and LG Drivers correctly?
With my LG flatron i received a piece of software to optimize my settings and even calibrate the monitor. I run win XP ME.

Reconnect your old monitor.
Set the screen-resolution to 800-by-600 at 60 Hertz.
Shutdown.
Connect the new monitor.
Reboot.
The new monitor will be detected, and will run at 800 by 600 at 60 Hertz.
Change the screen-resolution to some higher value that both the new monitor, and your older video-card, will allow.
A little bit down you can read: "A user could force the installation of
a XPDM driver for each of these devices, and therefore get
heterogeneous multi-adapter multi-monitor to work as in Windows XP."
If you can go that way depends mainly on the manufacturer of the video card driver.

thanks. your advise helped. i went back to the monitor bock and pulled out the software and installed it.
i can't find the resolution ,,, 1680 x 1050 i have a geforce 7300 gt but .... don't work 100%
