I purchased a Delstar DS 801 MP4 player. I wish now that I had paid more money for an IPod for her. It took me FOREVER to figure out how to load the music....finally did....gave it to her....now, after one night of using it, it is locked and I can't figure out what to do.
We don't have a solution yet. We let the battery die on it and we're trying to recharge it. I don't know how long it's suppposed to take. I tried to do it by plugging in the USB port to the computer but got a message on the computer about...something like unknown driver.................NOW I've plugged the USB port into the other charger that plugs in the wall. We'll see what happens now. I am leaving my mom with it and hopefully the hourglass will disappear and it will start working. ARRRRGGGHHH!!! Thanks for asking. We don't have a solution yet. I have a delstar mp3 player. Can't get the battery to charge. Hour glass shows up on screen, but not moving or doing anything. What do I need to do? Can batteries be replaced in these things?
For the 10 second play problem the player has been set to intro mode, which only will play the first 10 seconds of each song. While it is playing, press the mode button ( bottom right ) once. This brings up the play sub-menu. It should show " repeat" as the first item. Press mode button again and it should show "intro". Now press either the top or middle buttons on the right side once, this shows all repeat choices again, using the same buttons scroll through them till "normal" is highlighted. Then press the bottom right button again. This shoudl put it back in normal play mode and return to the music screen.
