hi my name is mark, do you have a water filter on this unit. shut off water to ice maker. remove water line from ice maker, hold water line in a bucket slowly turn on water. if you get water. then the fill solinoid has failed. if you do not get water trace water line back to water shut off. if it is the solinoid valve. you will need model and serial number to order part

The solution is correct. I received a free bucket with instructions. I had already repaired and reinforced my bucket where the motor shaft connects so the new bucket is a spare for future use. My latest issue is "ice full" sensor not working. I have to purchase a new circuit board with the sensor already attached. I can replace the sensor if I could find one. Edgestar can't help with this.

You can go to the sears web site and get it it should be under warrenty or you cna go to http://www.appliancepartspros.com and call and ask them they can give you where to locte it nearest to you and the list price for it. Hope this helps.
SOURCE: No water in automatic ice maker.
Do you get water at the front dispensor, if present? If not check the refrigerator water filter. If you have an RO system feeding filtered water to the fridge, check it's filter. Also there is a solenoid that lets water into the ice cube maker, have a professional check it to make sure its working correctly. Lastly I have had to replace the entire ice cube maker, sometimes they do fail. Replacements can be found fairly easy on the internet.
