Question about Sony DCR-HC38 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
HERE'S WHAT WORKED FOR ME PER SONY TECHS:
Take? OUT the battery or disconnect the AC cord.
Turn the camera ON (tape, memory, edit settings) for 15 seconds.
Turn camera to off setting.
Plug battery or AC cord back in.
VOILA!
Worked for me and I had the stupid C32:11 error code for weeks! Door would not close. Followed the SIMPLE and SAFE instructions and IT WORKED! Just like magic. I couldn't believe it! Save your money TRY THIS!

This is usually caused by a defective component in the tape detection circuitry or a faulty rotory mode switch and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.
