HELP!!! My nerf gun maverick is broken.? when i shoot it the bullet fires about 10 feet only. when I took it apart nothhing seems to be wrong. Please help me fix it by telling me what to do.

you never put oil in it did you???anytime you get a new air tool,you need to put oil into where the air goes,then look for oiling spots,put oil in every day

Most of the "bullets" in these guns are made out of foam so as far as damage goes they don't cuase any but when shot at point blank there will be a little sting. Just make sure to teach him not to shoot in the face and neck he should be fine.

Two solutions-

1.) READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, THEY'RE THERE FOR A REASON!!!

2.) Pull the cocking slide on top of the gun back, after inserting a bullet. Pull the trigger to fire.

That's all!!!

There are multiple factors in which it will not fire/discharge-

For every problem I suggest you need to open up/unscrew the base plates.

1.) Sometimes nerf factories do not include necessary springs, which are needed to let the trigger lower an orange piece that discharges the plunger system. If not, get one from a nearby hardware store.

2.) Did you mod it? Some people take out the whole air resistors and don't realize that they have created HUGE openings for the air to flow out when pressurized against the bullet.

If you just unpacked it from a reliable source there is not much I can tell you besides the fact that the factoy screwed up and left some internal out.

Try to return it back where it came from and get another.

Factory mistakes like this are usually improbably, so you needn't worry about it when you get another one to replace this one.

The same happened to me you have turn the turning part that holds the bullets right before the triger goes back all the way you have to turn the part with you fingers a little bit.

The factory must have left out a certain spring I could only explain to you if you've modded it.

Well, I'm going to explain anyway-

When you pull the trigger there is a mechanism is triggers that releases the plunger system, therefore compressing the air and firing the dart out of the turret. The factory (as I said before) left out the spring that makes the part move up or down as the trigger is operated, therefore making the gun malfunction.

My best suggestion- get a spring and add it in (if this is the case). Open up the shells/casing of the gun by unscrewing it apart and find the orange part next to the trigger.

If all else fails, take it back to the store.

Have you checked the jamming inspection panel is pushed forward and the green light is on?

I had the same problem with two guns out of the box. Turned out that the dividers in the battery tray kept the batteries from touching each other on some brands of batteries. Remove the dividers and should work. You can verify this by measuring the voltage on the two terminals of the battery pack.

the relese mechanism came loose and i put the pin back in if anyone needs help ill be happy to help fix it
