Question about Sony KP-53S65 53" Rear Projection Television

TV cannot be turned on

After pushibng the power button, the front red light blinks several times and automatically turned off. Any suggestions?

Please count the blinks. It should be a repeating count with a pause. This will indicate the problem circuit and allow us to give you details.

Power light went to red and no picture

when the light turns red press the Menu and the Device Buttons on the front panel both in together and hold for 6 seconds and then count the two didgit blinking light which will repeat a two digit blink code several times. Let me know the code and I will assist you

Tv automatically powers off by itself within seconds.

This model has a self check: with the set plugged in turn it on--green power light comes on and a few seconds later goes off.

On front of set press and hold BOTH the menu and input buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will blink a 2 digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

Picture went out and red light on the front by power button is blinking. When I turn TV on I can hear sound but no picture,, then TV turns off automatically after a few seconds.

Hi,
It seems problem with low screen voltage to three picture tubes in this rear projection tv.
If standby light blinks 5 times after three seconds long pause then adjust screen volts of each picture tube to solve this issue.
Screen volt adjustment requires expertise and job of professional so please call local tv repairman to help you.

Cannot turn the tv on. Fast blinking green light won't go out. Tried pushing the system reset button several times. Blinking light comes back on and won't go out. Any suggestions?

Press and hold menu button front of TV untill it stops blinking then turn unit on.

Unplug,replug,push the popwer buton couples time,see if stable green LED light,should get tv pic& suond back, not replaced the backlight video board it some how die.

Akai LCT2701TD Won't turn on. Red light in front blinks.

There is a high power supply failure rate on these LCDs. The power boards are not longer being manufactured or not easy to find.
