Deskjet 5150 windows me?

It's possible that with your new computer, when you plugged in your printer, Windows could have installed a driver for it automatically.
If that's the case, it would have only installed the driver, and not the utilities that HP puts on the disk. Find your HP Printer CD and install the software on it. Or download it from HP's site to install the utility.

HP Deskjet 5150 is highly compatible with windows 7, so no issue for the operating system. Now we check the driver for your printer if it has the latest updated software if it does then there is no issue.

Please, how does your Win 7 x64 machine compare to anything else on your network?

Can any other computer see that printer at all?

When you install the printer locally does that mean by USB, or what please?

Sorry, but the HP Deskjet 5150 is not supported in Windows 98, it does not have the correct usb drivers. Windows 2000 is the oldest operating system with support.

since ive not heard of a compaq millenium computer, i assume you have a compaq computer running windows millenium edition? it may be that your printer will not support it at all, unfortunately. see the hp driver site:

there is not driver for windows millenium it seems.

There is a windows 98 driver available on the HP website for the HP Deskjet 5150. Go to the main website (www.hp.com) and click on software and driver downloads (about 2/3 of the way down the page). from there click download drivers and software radio button, then in the "for product" box enter your printer model (Deskjet 5150). Then the top option on the right hand column is Windows 98.

Go to the HP website and use thier software down load package it is easy. I lost my HP deskjet 5150 disc that was hw i was able to reinstall it to new system. I hpoe this will help you. I sure do know it will

use the hp deskjet plus in windows but u might not be able to print with color
