The freezer is not freezing , not sure which way to turn higher or lower so is 1 lower or higher and there is ice build up inside . just put in a new compresser could it be low on freon.

Make sure the freezer vents are not blocked by overloading the freezer compartment. Also, make sure the refrigerator has enough air circulation around it. If it keeps freezing, try lowering the temperature.

Keeping the Fridge Door Open
Many people keep their fridge door open for extended periods of time while they examine the contents inside to see what they want to eat. This can contribute to frost buildup in the freezer, because the fridge is taking in a lot of warm air during this process and the fan pushes it up into the freezer. The moisture in that air is then quickly frozen, and ice can build up substantially as a result. The longer the fridge door is held open, the more likely this can occur, so the best solution is to only keep the fridge open for short intervals and then to not open the door again for a while.

The rubbing noise comes from your build up of ice. If no auto-de-icer, then unplug your fridge or turn it off, allow it to thaw, remove all dripping water. restart or replug

I use a shop vac to remove water.

be sure NOT to break, or chip the ice, as you may break freezer components

A few things could be wrong,The first thing to check is the damper in the fridge section and make sure it is opening and closing properly. It is located to left isde of the fridge compartment turn the unit off completly and you should here it close you may need to remove the cover and check for ice build up that would restrict the movement.

Then you need to look inside the freezer compartment on the lower portion and look for any ice build up.if you see ice build up you can use a blow dryer to defrost the back wall so you can remove the lower portion and defrost the evaporator coils.

You will need to check the defrost heating element and make sure it is in good shape if you have a ohm meter make sure it has continuity if it does not then it needs to be replaced.

Then you will also need to make sure the evaporator fan is working properly.
the last thing that would be a problem is the defrost circuit not cycling properly or a bad thermostat control.

There is a drain the back of the freezer that is frozen. Your trickle of water comes from the ice that melts off of the refrigeration coils during the defrost cycle. You need to turn off the freezer, then remove the rear cover from the back wall to expose the coils. With a hair dryer, melt all of the ice. You will find a drain under the coils. Melts all of the ice in this drain so water can get out of the freezer. When this drain is clear, you can put everything back together, and your freezer should work normally.

try turning the thermostat down a little,..........don,t know what you got it set on ........but water freezes 32 degrees

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...If you need any further assistance please feel free to comment again. good luck! Remove back panel inside freezer and
1. check fan operation
2. check for ice/water at bottom of the hidden section. There should be a drain hole, which may be blocked by ice. Fix by turning off and pouring boiling water in there until blockage is fixed
