Hi. Had a code 10 on my Vokera UNICA HE boiler. This was due to the overflow pipe freezing up. The pipe has been disconnected from the boiler and the boiler pipe is now dripping into a bucket. However, the boiler is now refusing to fire up at all. It keeps trying to fire up but it eventually gives up and gives a code 10 again. Any advice on the problem at alll? Thank you.

I had the same problem. There's another clear rubber pipe underneath, that runs from the front right to a pump in the middle. I had to pull it off and dry it with a hairdryer before mine would light properly. Blast into the hole the pipe came off too to dry the sensor if there is one.

I had exactly the same problem , frozen condensate drain on unica he combi, so cut pipe inside let water drain into bucket and reset expecting it to fire up but after many attempts no joy back to code 10 then mopped all the water up inside bottom of combustion chamber tried again no joy. tried looking through man instructions for any clue of a solution but no. so googled "unica he code 10" then found this post. went to boiler pulled the clear pipe off which runs from right side of bottom of combustion chamber to the gas valve ( not a pump) a small amount of water came out I blew through pipe reattached and reset voila succees why is this not mentioned in the man instructions. Anyway many thanks Schminker most helpful post I ever read Mery Christmas. Bob Tallon Gas Fitter.

I went on holiday for 2 weeks and came home to no hot water. Luckily im a plumber so i took front off the VOKERA UNICA HE28 and listened for the fan, ignitor working which rules out a few things, looked up code 10 (no flame detected) so i thought no GAS. So abit of experiance told me to give the gas valve a few taps with the spanner reset the bolier and TICK TICK BOOM!! Hot water again. The gas solenoid had stuck on. Hope this helps

Vokera aav leaking

Robert, i'm sorry to say but the AAV's are machined parts and the seal should not have been broken by removing the cap. The floats are set perfectly and you would have been easier replacing the whole vent. You could have isolated all the pipes under the boiler and just drained the boiler down by releasing any pressure by the pressure release valve. You may need to buy another AAV and start again.
