Does an error message appear on the computer screen?
there could be a number of reasons. have you tried the following?
1) disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable
2) using another USB cable - perhaps a shorter and newer one
3) plugging the cable into another USB port on the computer
4) removing the power supply from the back of the printer and then plugging it in again (make sure the printer is disconnected and turned off when you do this)
5. enabling the USB port on the cmomputer
