Hello
Samsung SP2504C is a 250 GB hard disk drive using the new SATA-300 interface, which allows a maximum theoretical transfer rate of 300 MB/s. Its main specs also include an 8 MB buffer, 7,200 rpm rotation speed and support to NCQ (Native Command Queuing). In this review we checked the performance of Samsung SP2504C installed on a motherboard using a regular SATA-150 port and also on a motherboard using the new SATA-300 port.
This very same hard disk drive is also available with a 200 GB capacity, being called SP2004C. Both belong to SpinPoint P120 series from Samsung.
Good LUCK AND DO RATE THE SOLUTION IF HELPS

What replacement soiled state hard drive for WD1200BEVS-22LATO

Examine the interface specifications for the what the HD is connected to. Most 120 MD SSD's are backwards compatible with SATA-150. Usually the specification with say SATA-II (3MB transfer speed) or SATA-III (6MB transfer speed). A SATA-III SSD will work on a SATA-II connecction.

I asked this a few days ago; , I have a Samsung SpinPoint P80 SP1604N 160 GB Hard Drive in a HP compaq presario SR 1617CL I want to replace it with a larger HD, 500GB or 1TB. Can I replace it with a...

Yes, either of these drives will work. The cache is not all that important it is just where data is stored temporarily in case you have to access it again soon after a file is written to the hard drive. The best thing you could do in this case is see if your motherboard has a sata connection which I would assume it does and buy a sata hard drive. It will be much faster than either of those drives, just make sure you also get a sata power adapter if your power supply doesn't already have one and a sata cable.

IDE vs SATA

Sata is better hands down. Its the newer technology. I would keep the ide harddrive for media storage and such. You not going to notice the rpm differance to much. But the communication between board and the drive is faster with sata

Pc died

Hello, I have had similar problems with that same motherboard in the past and have found that resetting the cmos (see users manual) or just taking the battery of the motherboard for a few minutes can solve this. CAUTION please remove the power lead on your tower before touching any components inside, and earth yourself first by touching metal.. as static discharge kills pc components..
Hope this helps.....

Whats the largest replaement HD I can put in my Presario

The HD capacity is defined by the bios software in the computer, if HP/Compaq tells you that 80Gb is the maximum capacity, then I think you should believe them, after all they should be the first one interested in selling more high price products, go for the 80Gb is .

Quantum fireball 10.2gb

The computer speed completely depends on the speed of quantity of RAM, HDD, processor and FSB of mother board. Your processor is good enough to give better result with windows XP and did not mention about the availability RAM, if less than 256 MB, you need to upgrade and you can upgrade HDD not so mandatory if you have more than 20% free space. Under maintenance practice do regular "DEFRAGMENTATION and CHECK DISK" from selecting driver properties under tool tab.RAM will surely give boost and do degramenation
