I have 3 18v3ah lithium ion batteries and now only 1 still works the charger reads them as broken when inserted. They both broke within 2 weeks of each other. Is there an easy fix that i can do or do i have to send them away?

I suggest you find a local industrial tool supplier who can test them for you. All of the industrial suppliers who service tools for contractors can quickly and easily test these batteries for you to determine the problem.

Often, this type of battery will drop in voltage so far that the charger will not recognize it as a battery and therefore will not charge it. Your nearest Makita service center can test, repair and replace the batteries. If they are within the warranty period, Makita will likely replace them, which the repair center will coordinate for you.

Big box type home centers can be a low cost place to buy tools, but they seldom service what they sell, so your town likely has a Makita authorized service center who will be happy to help you find and solve the problem with your batteries.
