The problem I had was with a Bosch model 536 wall-mount oven, not an airconditioner. Decided it was the lower element that was at fault. Although it showed continuity (dual element 48 ohms and 114 ohms) readings should be approx 24 ohms per element.

GE standing electric oven range. Oven lower element will not heat up.. only gets Luke warm, can still touch it, although the upper oven element gets very hot. What could the issue be?

Sounds like the bake element - do a visual check and look for blistering or cracking. If it looks normal, unplug the oven (or flip breaker for wall oven) and then you can remove the screw holding the element and pull it forward enough to unplug it and do a continuity test with a multimeter. If it test bad, replace the element.

Common heating faults with Bosch HBL3420UC Electric single oven

For all Free appliance repair videos visit our VIDEO TUTORIALS 1, If the Bosch fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the BOSCH element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your BOSCH fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your BOSCH oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your BOSCH oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

Most likely part is the oven control board, it has relays on it . There is one stuck. IT is 2235 dollars to replace.

I have a Kitchen Aid convection wall oven. It takes 6 - 7 minutes to preheat to 325 degrees. You probably have a bad element. There are 2 elements.

Suspected burned out heating element

your "specific" answer is same for all, If your element is "open" then your ohn reading would be infinite,if it is shorted it would be 0 ohm both cases would need replacing. You need to look at the wiring digram for a temperature switch[thermostat] which will be connected in series with the element. All heaters, microwaves ovens, are required to have them They open up when or if oven gets too HOT. The little units cost about $2-3 and can be bought online [e-bay] Go to applianceaid.com/appliance-repair-help.php find your make, model and they will show you the part and how to replace it.Good luck Steve The unit is a protection device always replace it with proper temperture rating.!

My bosch oven grill element is not working and my oven does not seem to be getting as hot as it should. any ideas what it could be.

More than likely the grill element has failed, and this could account for the oven not getting hot enough, as on some makes, the grill element is on at the same time as the oven element, so if the element has failed, then it will not be hot enough.
My advice would be fit a new grill element, and this hopefully will solve the problem of the oven not being hot enough.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.
