You can try this trick. First, pull the battery from your phone, connect the USB PC sync cable, then reinstall the battery, and do nothing with the phone if it prompts for the unlock code. Perform a device backup. Then disconnect the phone, and go into the service menu of the phone (search the internet for this mode), and perform a device wipe. Now reconnect the phone top the sync cable, turn on the phone, and perform a restore. This trick works for phone lock codes on the P990, as well as corrupted memory preventing the calender from operating properly. Good luck.
