HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One InkJet Printer Logo
Posted on Dec 20, 2010

My HP 7410xi Officejet was working fine yesterday, and was on "standby". Today it would not respond. I disconnected the power for more than one minute, reconnected the power, but it would not turn on; it just displays the logo line " HP invent" on the LCD screen with a gray scale bar below the logo. This screen continues for a while, then goes blank and repeats the same display.

Not able to switch it on

Hello Doctor,

In my OfficeJet 7410xi... it was the 802.11 card.
(endless power loop)

I opened the rear ...
pulled the 2 wire (black & white) power feed and the printer came back to life (obviously no longer WIRELESS).

The annoying little card actually lived under the front key-control panel.

Needless to say...
HP tech-support was PATHETIC (in my humble opinion). My parts came from eBay... and the procedure came from anecdotal cyber-wisdom (other BEWILDERED HP victims sharing their frustrations).

On the 7410xi less than 2" x 3" (small) card nomenclature:
HP5092-5028 (rev. A) multilayer (not-serviceable) PCB
Tyco 100902 LF
PN 1513349 (rev. C)

Hope this helps with your search...

My HP 6500 Wireless printer doesn't even show up. It worked fine yesterday! I can't find the disk to start it over. What happened?

Hi Dave,

Open www.hp.com and enter your product # as 6500 in search bar and hit enter key

Select Software and Drivers Download ( or support for HP Officejet 6500 Wireless ) and choose the operating system to download the drivers and install

I have an HP 6500 printer. Worked fine yesterday, today am getting the message "the cartridge cradle cannot move. Please turn device power off. Check device for a paper jam or other...

Check to see if your credit card offers extended warranty. That's why I buy EVERYTHING on an American Express card, which adds 1 year of warranty beyond the manufacturer's on everything you buy.

These devices are disposable, and HP is particularly fragile. I wouldn't buy another HP product. When you decide to replace this, you'll be a lot happier with Canon or Epson.

Number of possible causes, check the phone line, try a different fax number for a start. Is there other fax machines in the office on the same line
