Question about Ariston Technologies Ariston FO98P Stainless Steel Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

Ariston underbenchoven - Model FM81R

My father has bought a house with the above oven in it. The dials have no markings on them to indicate what they are for or the temperature settings.
the Serial Number is 006230017.
If anyone has a manual or brochure of the oven they can help me with it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Robyn P.

I have this oven and all three knobs have no markings on them. I don't know what the knob on the far right hand side does other than turn the oven on. Not sure about what position the knob needs to be in to use the grill?

Is it dangerest when your oven beeps f2

Typically an oven beeps when the interior temperature macthes the temperature where you set the dial. This is an audible signal to that fact and particularly helpful when you need to pre-heat the oven. For example it you want to cook something at 350 degrees, you set the dial at 350. When your oven reaches that temperature it beeps to let you know. Some cooking directions tell you to preheat your oven. In that case, when you set the dial to 350 and wait for the beep...you know you are safe to start your cooking process because the oven is now pre-heated to the temperature you set. If your recipe requires a pre-heated oven, and you don't wait for the beep, your taking a guess at what temperature you're cooking your food. Additionally, if you want to know what the internal temperature of oven is and your oven is heated...you simply turn you dial setting and listen for the beep. Again, if you set your oven at 350 and you want to know how hot your oven is... slowly turn the dial setting. If the oven beeps at 275 then that's how hot your oven has gotten. To let it finish heating to 350 just reset the dial and wait for the beep.

The lowest setting on the dial of our Imperial oven is 175 degrees F. If we set the dial below the 175 mark, could we get the oven to level out at a lower temperature? We're looking to achieve a stable...

The temperature figures on the dial are a guide only. Play with the dial, you will pick up where the thermostat cuts in and out. 130 deg. is rather low, but it could be achievable. You will only find out through experimentation - nothing will be damaged.

Our ARG7302WW range is missing the temperature sticker for the dial...where should 350 degrees be and does it go up in temp clockwise?

Hello- The background panel is screened with gradients, but is expensive and hard to find. The easiest solution is to purchase an oven thermometer and allow to set for about 20 min at an indicated 350deg. Make sure that dial knob is tight and mark with a line at that point. Use a fine point sharpy, and clean surface before marking. Turn off, let cool, and turn to the new 350 mark and see if temp comes up and matches 350deg on thermometer. If it works ok, try marking 325, 375, 400, etc. ---Yes,  Clockwise is up in temp. Let me know if this info helps.   Have more if needed-  Thanks - Ed

How do l use the oven l now how to use the rings but not the oven or the clock

It depends on the make and model but generally there is a dial for the oven and you turn the dial to the required temperature and this normally brings the fan/heater/light on.

Setting the clock depends on wether it is digital or no.

Analogue clocks usually have a large button in the middle of the dial which you turn to set the time.

Digital clocks normally have buttons marked + or - which you depress to set the time.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SET THE OVEN TEMPERATURE.

Normally you just turn the dial to the required temperature as indicated on the dial.

Usually the oven dial will say 'main oven' or have a symbol indicating which it is.

Sometimes it is a digital display and you have to press a button until the required temperature is displayed.
