Hello

Picture rolling is due the fault in the vertical output section of your TV. To rectify this fault, you have to open your Tv, and locate the vertical output section inside it. It is so easy to locate as, there will be four wires going from the deflection yoke, that is the coil fitted on the neck of the picture tube, out of which, two of them will be thick, usually coloured red and blue, and the other two will be thin. Just follow the two thin wires, which will lead you to a scoket fitted on the circuit board. Upside down the circuit board, and trace the tracks of these wires, and you will reach to the vertical output section.
Normally Toshiba uses a 7 pin IC, number [TDA 8403K], in this section, the number may vary according to sets model, but the function will be the same for all. It will be screwed onto a metal hetsink. I advice you to resolder all the soldering ponts of that IC, by applying a little more solder, without making any solder bridges between the terminals. Normally this may resolve your problem, as there is a chance to get soldering loose in this section.
If this does not help, resolder the IC out, and go for a same type and number, replace it.
If you need anymore assistace feel free to contact me through Fixya. OK.

I had the same problem with my Passport and it was the fuel pump going bad. The pump was not producing enough pressure to get the fuel into the fuel system. A local shop discovered the problem when they did a pressure test on my fuel system.

Rolling picture

Try replaceing capacitors C2C52 10uf 50V capacitor and also C2P05 100uf 16V capacitor. these are both on the signal board. It that doesnt correct the issue replace IC2P01 which is the 9volt regulator also located on the signal board. That should take care of your problem

Mitsubishi projection tv vs60va2 picture rolls

This unit has chroin bad caps on the 5v, 9v and 12v regulators. If you know circuitry you can check thos caps and replace the weak or open electrolytic caps. If you call on a tech that services mitsu. this is faily common repair for them and should not cost over 150.00 to 200.00 depending on your area.

Picture is Rolling..stops after some warm-up

I have seen this many times. There is a 9 volt regulator on the small signal board that causes this. The regulator goes bad and the 9 volts starts dropping, especially at start-up when the regulator is cold. If the voltage is below 8 volts then the picture gets dark and the vertical becomes unstable, with the picture squeezing down and/or rolling. As the regulator warms up the voltage starts rising back towards 9 volts and the symptoms start clearing up. There are 3 regulators in a row on the board and the regulator in the middle is always the bad one. Replacing that regulator should cure your problems but it should be replaced by someone experienced in servicing Mitsubishi projection TV's because pulling the chassis out is quite tricky.
