Just do a search for foxconn support and you will get a link to their support website It is quite user friendly and you can get manuals and driver downloads even for distant past products. Had to go there myself.

Need a dvd drive for a et1831-7 emeachine

If your optical data cable is long gray and flat then you have a PATA/IDE drive and if your optical data cable is small and contains 7 small pins it is SATA You can look up both IDE and SATA on google to check. Then you can order a matching hard drive off of a website. I strongly recommend www.newegg.com. As long as you order the matching cable type you can order any model make or color for your computer.

I want to install a 2nd dvd burner. But I don't know how to hook it up. My new pc does not have the ribbons like my old one does.

If your 2nd DVD burner is on IDE interface, you may need to get an IDE to SATA cable. Please refer to the picture below as to how it looks like:

It wont start.. what is sata?

You have to make sure first, what is your HDD type? is it IDE or SATA (Serial ATA).

Check it out: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-sata-or-serial-ata.htm

You should plug the data cable, to your hard disk. Remember, there's no way to plug your SATA cable to IDE HardDisk because the connector are not the same (I don't know if there's a converter between it).

So, make sure it first. If it IDE, find IDE data Cable, and make sure it plugged to your MainBoard and Hard Disk. Do the same procedure if it is SATA Hard Disk, only this time you should connect the SATA cable from your mainboard to your SATA Hard Disk.

Dll gx280 case

first off does the motherboard have both sata and ide connections or just sata or just ide? (sata are small about maybe 1/2 inches in length and 1 mm wide and a ide connection is approx 5 inches long with about 4 inches long with over 100 pins and about 1/2 inches wide) i know that the opliplex 520 are nothing but sata so if it uses the same mobo as the 520 and you have ide then its imposible to install on your computer unless it either has a ide connection or you get a ide pci or pci-e controller card and install that onto the computer. but for the most part a ide connection needs a ide cable and a sata connection needs a sata cable.
