repairing amplifier is not easy as you think, one mistake could lead to more damage, simply replacing output transistor may not solved it, and may damage the new parts, very risky. If you are not knowledgeable on this task, don't do it. Amplifiers are the most risky gadget to repair especially the high-powered amps.

SOURCE: JVC Camcoder GR-DX77 has no Picture in Record Mode

Definitely, don't use Sony miniDV tapes! The fault occured because of rough handling of the mechanism during cassete insert or from dropping the camera.A guide arm inside the mechanism is deformed and the mechanism can be changed in whole for this.Contact a JVC authorized centre. The price for this can be half the price of a new camera. After all, it's your fault. This is a good camera if you know haw to handle/ use it!!!

SOURCE: big screen tv repair

There is a short in this TV set somewhere. The TV set is trying to come on but because of the short, the power supply shuts down. No if it is not the over current shutdown, it could also be the main power supply with an over voltage shutdown protection mode. These are solid state TV sets and should only be worked on by trained techs. Good Luck

"JVC LT-42X788 display fault..."

Hi Thomas.

Please pick one:

Power supply board (possibly a blown capacitor):
A TV-tech can repair at reasonable cost, less than a new set.

The main board itself has a control / display section fault:
A TV-tech can repair at reasonable cost, less than a new set.

The screen / panel is shot:
Beyond economical repair - renew set.

Hope this helps.
Clive.

Green and Red (thin lines) across entire screen [JVC 70 G886 HD TV]. Screen went to all green (wide and thin) within 1/2 hour and picture hasn't come back. "Input selection" box is visible and clear...

Try a "hard reset" first by unplugging the set for 30 seconds. and if no help, you may have a problem with the SMPS power supply, it might have a bad capacitor or two by now. Worth repair if engine is good compared to a flat panel.

Broken JCV Plasma Screen

Its prob not worth swapping lcd screen as new ones are excessive cost compared to buying a new tv. Power supplies often fail on lcd tv s so u may find a faulty one locslly being chucked with good screen but no power,to make one good one.connections vary make to make but most units are made by just a few manufacturer s so so can be interchanged, sorry its a wasteful world

JVC TV AV-32870 will not turn on. blinking timer light

Worth taking it in since it is hard to find a new TV for less than $300. I have a 32 inch JVC iart that for about 2 years would turn itself off and the timer light would blink. Only thing that worked would be to disconnect and turn back on. Eventually, the tv "popped" I could smell something that burned out and within 3 weeks tv went "dead" Took it to a tv repair place and replaced power unit for $150. I had similar problem with a 19 inch Philips and that tv has been going strong for 4 years since repair.

Good Luck

HELP HELP PLEASE JVC TV

This is probably too late being a year later, but for the reference of anybody else reading this later on down the line, THe convergence IC's need to be replaced. STK392-110. There are two chips and they both should be replaced in tandem. After that a simple customer convergence is all it takes to get it back to normal.

JVC DVD player problem

You have set the DVD to progressive output for your big tv. The little one will not accept this. Your manual will tell you how to reset it. The remote may be needed. Reconnect it to the big tv and check the menus.
