SOURCE: digital converter box

Greetings kathy76turne,

In February 2009 you will be unable to receive ANY analog television signals therefore the digital converter box will be a necessity to receive any over the air broadcasts.

I am unable to answer the question about the mini van's electrical capability, however you might find the following link handy to get more information.

SOURCE: is it digital? will I need a converter box?

The conversion to digital affects off air reception. Since you have Comcast analog cable, you will not be affected until Comcast decides to discontinue analog cable, which is not likely any time soon.
When that day comes, your old VCR will probably grace a landfill anyhow, and you will need a converter box from Comcast.

My mitsubishi vs60607 the picture is too big for the actual screen. it's as if i set it to zoom mode but it does not have a zoom mode

Hi:
If you are using a cable box connected to the television for viewing channels, the box has a screen format button on it make sure its is not in zoom mode also. Check the box's remote for a button labeled format or Aspect or screeen.

Do i need a converter box for my rca true flat 27 in? if not how do i connect a digatal antenna i have lost my manual

Your TV will require a Digital Converter Box to recieve over the air Digital Television Signals. You will need to hook up the antenna to the converter box and then hook your converter box to the TV. Hooking your television directly to a digital antenna will not get you Digital signals...only analog signals.

Model 55311 Can you pick up digital tv without converter box?

I am thinking that you have a Mitsubishi WS-55311. If this is the case, you will need a converter box to receive digital television signals.

I hope that this helps you resolve your issue.

How to hook up with new converter boxes

This TV has a Digital Tuner built in?

Unless you have some purpose I would use the internal tuner.

Anyway. Use the HDMI input to hook up the Converter and Component (Red, Green and Blue video) to connect the DVD. You can use component for the Converter as well since it is reasonably comparable to HDMI (HDMI is 1080P Component is 1080i but it is difficult/impossible to notice unles picture is 60 or larger)

I have a wd-60735 tv if i hook up a convertor box to it i get air channles if i just hook up the antenna to it it wont find any channells what could be the problem? Thanks

As of 6/12/09, the over-air broadcast signals went to digital (ATSC) only. Your set does not have and ATSC tuner so it can not receive the new digital signals. The converter box converts the ATSC signals to the NTSC channel 3 or 4.

Can we tape digital feed on a VCR and play it on an HD-ready tv?

You should be able to accomplish this. Run the antenna to your converter box. Run the video and audio outputs of the digital converter box to the inputs on your vcr. Your vcr should then be able to record the program (select line-in as the channel when setting up the recording). Hook your vcr audio and video output to your tv.
It's best to use a converter box that has an event timer - this allows the converter box to turn on at a specified time and channel. Otherwise you will need to manually set the channel you wish to record on the converterbox, and leave it turned on.
