Question about Onkyo TX-DS575 Receiver

When I connect the sirius radio to the docking station (sirius connect home kit) I can hear the sound for a few seconds then the docking process engages and I loose the sound. I have the tuner set to Sirius. I press enter and set to channel 1 but still no sound. There is an error message on the Onkyo display - check sirius tuner but if the tuner plays perfect undocked it's the onkyo receiver that can't process the satellite signal?

SOURCE: connecting Sirus audio to Onkyo HT-R500

Carl- If you are sending a Line Level Audio signal to your ONKYO RECEVER, from your Sirus RCA cable Output, IE, the CD input, the VCR input, the AUX in, ETC. No Need to have the RECEIVER in the FM mode, you are just needing amplificaton of the sound signal or Sirus signal sound.

How much does what cost? The service? The radio? A docking station? A replacement typically goes for somewhere around $80. You could also get a whole new kit for around that price. Sounds like it could be the dock itself, but could also be the radio. Do you have other docking stations to test it out in? If it works in one dock but not the other, we know its the dock that needs to be replaced. If it does the same thing in both docks it is probably the antenna connection in the receiver.

Your audio out pins on the dock, or on the top of the radio are loose. The BGA connections on the chips inside may also be loose, but that is less likely depending on the force of the collision.

When I plug the stilleto into my car adapter it shuts down. Then powers back on to a screen that simply reads "Sirius Connect"

I had the same problem with my home dock, it worked after unplugging the power to the dock for a few seconds

no sorry it wont the stiletto 1 it deeper than the stiletto 2.

Audio stuck on high

You cannot adjust the volume when the stereo cord is plugged into the back of the dock. Instead, plug the stereo cord into the front headphone jack of the dock. You will be able to adjust the volume then.

Setting preset stations

Hi Gil, not sure what you mean by RE-setting presets but I assume your using a dock of some kind, and in that case you simply tune to the station you desire then hold down the preset number you'd like to set it to. It will overwrite the previous setting. hope that helps.
