My defy front loader filled up with water at 2am last night while not in use...flooding my kitchen. the machine tap is always left open, but is active only when the machine has been switched on???

the water inlet valve is faulty and is not closing fully when powered off causing a small but constant stream of water coming into the machine until it floods out the front, you will need to replace the water inlet valve, in the meantime turn the taps off when your not using it

I have the kenmore HE2 front loader. when you turn it on now water comes pouring out of the detergent filling compartment and flooded the house... any ideas

there is a water inlet on the right side of the detergent filling cup to flush out the dry detergent. take out the fill and it is midway back on the right(little rubber hose) once you locate that take the top panel off and follow the hose, should lead to a silinoid. this is most likely sticking open, or the line is broken and dumping water into the washer cavity instead of in the detergent cup. hope that gets you started in the right direction.

Kenmore front loader keeps filling water in drum and will not stop

Plug off the wall. Open up behind, you will find a thin tube going from the pump area to the control point. This is the water level tube; untie this tube from above & blow into it, it should be free, if not free remove the blockage, see that it is not twisted, insert carefully. Or replace. This shd fix your water level problem.

Leaking....front door won't close

Carefully look at the door gasket to see if any irregularity in seal. Could be problem with door seal; or you could easily change door mechanism thru a spare part shop quoting your model and spare-part No or "door mechanism"
