Fridge is plugged in and turned on, but motor seems to be trying to turn on, but isn't, and the fridge is very warm. There's a click, like it's trying, then after about 3-5 seconds there's another click, like it gave up. Help!!

Frigidaire FRS26R2AW5 Refrigerator too cold on fridge side.

If the dampers are closing when you select warmer temp with the fridge temp control, there really isn't a way for the cold air to enter the fridge. Check to make sure the damper isn't opening back up after a while.

My freezer is freezing food fine but my refrigerator seems to be warm and not cooling like it should. The temp control has been adjusted to a higher setting but does not seem to help.

if your freezer is working your fridge is fine
Your problem probably started a couple weeks ago when the drain that allows defrosted ice (water) to drain into the drain pan at the base of your fridge became plugged for some reason. Then everytime the fridge went on defrost more water melted but did not drain which in turn froze. Now ice has built up and caused the air that flows into the fridge to be blocked, causing a warm fridge.... my advice is to leave fridge unplugged for 48 hrs to thaw it and find the cause of the water not to drain... could be a corn niblet or pea from the freezer... the tube should be visible from the inside or the back

Fridge/Freezer working sometimes. Starts and stops

Need you to check the compressor to see if too hot to touch. If so unplug and don't leave it plugged in until we find the problem. This could be start capacitor, start relay, overload or a bad condenser or evaporator fan motor. Like to know he model number to help you better, Let me know, Sea Breeze

Magic Chief compact fridge motor gets hot but does not cool

Look In the rear bottom where the wires plug into the compressor. There will be a plastic cover plate over the connecting wires. Remove it. Unplug the white wire. note the white wire was plugged into a small black box (3/4"x3/4") pull the black box out. It is connected by 2 prongs. If you open this up you will find a small metal disk that looks like a watch battery. pop it out and clean the contacts. put it all back together and it should work fine. I believe it is the thermostat and many times gets bad contacts and can even crack over time. The compressor will "click" on but the bad thermostat tells it "no"
