Plug it in then push power+volume up for 30 seconds or until a message appears for 1 second easy to miss so dont blink until you see it then let go and press power button until it boots

And if that doesn't seem to work?

  • amhojo Jan 09, 2011

Please advise what to do if pushing power volume for 30 seconds doesn't work and no messsage appears. We've tried this several times to no avail, and my daughter--who received this as a gift---is heart-broken!

My ereader is doing the same thing! I read it on Tuesday morning, battery was almost dead so I put it up, plugged in to charge. Then when I went to read it that night, nothing! Won't turn on, just the green light saying it is fully charged. I tried resetting it. I tried the power and volume buttons at the same time for 30 seconds and nothing is working! Please help, I love my ereader!

We are having the same issue. Will try the reset procedure described above and report back.

  • jake849 May 01, 2011

I had mine go dead and I read all the ways to restart - None worked. I read that someone found if you let the battery go dead (Took one Day) , then plug it in, it will come back on - I tried it and it worked great - I am trying to find the guy and thank him/her.

Has anyone figured this out yet? I was reading on it while it was charging, no problems, I looked away for a few seconds and when I returned there was NOTHING! It won't turn on with or without the charger plugged into it. Tried holding the power button with and without the volume button for 10 seconds up to 2 minutes and saw no change. Can't find a solution anywhere online. I've had this about 2 months and have successfully charged it a dozen times. What is wrong? How long is the warranty????

Hello all Digital lovers, Sure fix look at the back about a 1/4 of the way down at the first crack after the Pandigital logo if you put your finger dead center and press down the back will come off and you can unplug your batt and then plug he power cord in and power up. Replace cover and enjoy... Hayden Weekes

  • dustydp May 14, 2011

OMG Hayden (hrweekes), that worked! I can't believe it! I just pushed where you said (had to try it 3-4 times, maybe I didn't have the right spot) and then it just booted up. I did this without anything plugged in and the back didn't come off.

I have the 7" Color Multimedia eReader and I've only had it since Dec. 2010. It wouldn't start up with the battery charger plugged in or with the USB cable connected to the computer.

    I'm amazed! WooHoo! LOL!

WOOOO Thank you Hayden!!! It worked for me as well...I wasnt sure how to remove the battery, just unplug the little black white red cord (which i was initially nervous to do but it slides right out)
It worked!! Im into an intense book and was dreading having to wait until my battery dies!
    Thank you so much Hayden!!

I was able to get the back off, but the battery cable won't let go. One person said it slid right out. Mine is stuck. Any ideas?

  • Anonymous Jul 28, 2011

Thank you so much. It worked, but I will add that I also had to press power, reset and volume for thirty seconds and then I had to press reset again to get rid of a triangle, but it works great.

Make sure that you are plugging the charger into the charging port (on the side) and not the headphone jack (on the bottom). I have done this several times and finally realized my mistake.

Pandigital novel 7" WHITE ereader wont turn on.

You can try pressing the reset button with a straightened paperclip of pin. If that doesn't do anything removing the back and unplug the battery. Leave it unplugged for a minute or two and reconnect it. Be careful unplugging it as you don't want to put to much force on the wires. You can use a small screw driver or tweezers to pry on the plug. The white plug here is what you're locking for. See if it powers on and hopefully it does. If not you may have to contact Pandigital.

Hope this helps

I just bought a Pandigital eReader, turned it on, then turned it off and it wouldn't turn back on.

Have you tried holding the power button down or plugging your ereader into a charger?
