43UWX10B Looking for part numbers/service manual to replace/repair convergence board.

I would guess you missed a open resistor--there are only about 12 of them--how did you check them?

This set (43uwx10b) has a tiny blue micro switch on the front of the chassis---if you engage it from the front the set will go into the DECAM or convergence mode--let me know the CLU number on your original remote and I will scan and paste instructions---98% of the time if the set is wacked out and will not adjust one of the resistors is gone---ONE OF THE CHIPS GETS THEM.

its definately the problem of convergence.

The magic focus will stop if there is a bad sensor and or a problem in the convergence circuit.

This set uses two STK-392-110 convergence chips--both along with any of the resistors that protect them need to be replaced and the set adjusted--I have repaired hundreds of these sets----


Confirm model number----and if you go into the customer menu and either red or blue will not move in any or some direction--the chips have to be replaced---LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND AND I CAN GIVE YOU FAIRLY DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON WHERE TO GET THE PARTS AND WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THIS REPAIR.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

SOLUTION

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses. Its a fairly easy DIY job or you can call in a pro. If you want to do the repair yourself check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc.

yes they are the same Convergence ICs number STK392-110 you need to replace both ICs. You can get replacement ICs at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions with pics so you can do the job yourself. Heres the link.

It's not coming on probably because the safety sees a short and is sparing you smoke damage. Double check to make sure any solder didn't cross or drop to another set of solder joints on the bottom. if you have a 2 IC convergence chassis they dont control the green , However if you have the 3 IC chassis the green is controlleed by the third IC these are usually STK4275 or simallar single amp ICs. Which type chassis does your hitachi have? Its possibly related to the digital convergence board if all resistor near the ICs are good. Do you have the service manual? Well you need to get into your tv's service menu and service convergence mode. It's different for every tv. It means entering a code on the remote that opens up a secret menu for changing tv settings. Go to servicemanual.net and buy the service manual for your set, you'll be glad you did.

there is a company called pts that will rebuild the board for u just send it in the will repair it and send it back , alwways use your wristground strap.
