The date stamp will only work when the camera's resolution is set to postcard mode. Press Func/set, scroll down to the bottom, then across to the icon with the clock and mountain. It will say "postcard". Press Func/set again. Then press Menu, scroll down to "Date stamp" and across to select date or date and time, then press menu again
Yor guide seems g When I press func/set the icon onleft is AWb down to an L. What should be on the screen when I turn on and press func/set?
Thanks
your guide is good but I canno find the icon when I select func/set. What should appear on the screen. I have a set of logos on left with AWB on top down to L. Is this correct. Many thanks
MC
The L is at the bottom, right? Scroll down to the bottom. Then scroll across to the right to select the postcard setting. This looks like a mountain with a clock. When you highlight it, the word postcard will appear. Then press func/set again to set the resolution and exit the settings.
The bottom line does not always have an L on the left.. That is what it shows when you are using the default resolution, but if it is set to any other resolution, it shows something other than an L. That is why I said scroll down to the bottom.
Thanks LongPockets,
I still cannot find the icon you refer to. Maybe I am not in default resolution. I wonedr how to achieve deafult resolution and work from there. The camera is a marvel of complexity when one is not clever about these things. Thanks for your attempts to help.

I have a G10 and I have done what you said. The problem is that when I scroll down, there is only two options. S and L. There is no postcard option or an icon with a mountain on it. So how do I get the date stamp to work?
