Many new washer use a lid lock instead of a brake to keep people from reaching into the spinner before it stops. You probably have a
bad lid lock. Have a repair man open the top cover and repair or replace the lid lock.

F51 maytag bravo error code?

The F 51 code, would indicate, the control board is not seeing the proper resistance on the motor circuit .

You should check and make sure there are not any articles, stuck between the tubs, or under the agitator.

Make sure you're not overloading the machine.and you have proper voltage to the unit.

Have you run the unit through a cycle empty ?

You may want to try that, before we have to get too involved in circuit and voltage tests.

Your technical data sheet should be on the inside of the front panel, you'll need to raise the top of the washer, using a putty knife to release the clips in the front seam, holding the top down .

the f51 error indicates that your rotor position sensor) is not registering or it is just bad. try this, remove and reinstall the connector at the RPS at least three times to clean off any corrosion built up on the connector and RPS due to the intermittent connections. after that go ahead and try to run a cycle. if you continue to receive the error then you need to replace the RPS sensor. UL bravo error code

Unbalanced load? Don't over stuff the washer. The load sensing moves the drum back and forth at the start. If it can't balance the load it will err.

To correct this, remove and reinstall the connector at the RPS at least three times to clean off any corrosion built up on the connector and RPS due to the intermittent connection. Confirm that the connector is fully seated onto the RPS control upon final connection and verify there are no damaged wires.Replace the electronic control. The upgraded control is less sensitive to intermittent RPS connections.

Maytag bravo quiet series 300: Stopped at spin:

We have a Maytag Bravo Quiet Series 300 washing machine, the door latch is broken. I have the replacement part ( the locking mechanism) but I need can not figure out how to get the top of the washer to flip up to give me access to top front of the machine to remove the old part and replace it with the new.

How do I flip back the top (not the door) of this machine?
