Hello,
When I turned on my TV a few days ago - I got a blue screen with a key symbol in the upper right corner of the screen.
I can't remove it, and, of course, can't see anything except for the blue screen and the key synbol...
Please HELP!
Thanks...
Try 1111 or 0000
or try holding down the channel up button on the remote for 10 seconds
another thing to try is this,
...hold the channel button on either the Remote or TV
up and hold the volume button on either the Remote of TV down at the
same time then it resets the password to 0000. Then type in that code.
not a proven solution but may be worth a try. having trouble locating a manual for a set this old. :)
or try this solution by mikeandtab ... is for a later model set, but may be worth a try.
1-PRESS THE BRIGHTNESS KEY ON THE REMOTE.
2-PRESS THE FREEZE KEY ON THE REMOTE.
3-PRESS THE MENU KEY ON THE REMOTE
4-PRESS THE ENTER KEY ON THE REMOTE. THE SCREEN WILL BLINK BLACK ONCE
AND ALL CODES ARE RESET.
give it a whirl as well... still searching for solutions for you.

how old is the set, can you check to see if it has any other model numbers?
thanks
Hi eranh1972
Great to hear... i think you will find it is only a 4 digit number that operates the vlock chip. Is probably 0000, the last set of 4 digits you entered. You were always going to have to fix it yourself, as we can only give you suggestions as to what you have to do to solve your problem. I am glad I was able to provide that to you. I did spend 30 mins searching obscure technical websites, so now I also have all the factory default codes to reset the unit entirely, however, you would then have to setup every factory setting in the television. It would have also released the vlock.

I think you must contact authorized service shop
Probably no result.
The only way to set a TV back to a state where it has no password is to find an internal battery.
If this can be located and removed for say, a day or two, or the connections shorted for a few seconds, where the battery was, then the battery replaced.
The memory parts should now be back to normal so that the TV can be reprogrammed with TV stations.

Usually answered in minutes!
I've already tried that, but I was told by the authorized dealer that the TV is too old, so they do not support it...
OK, so none of these solution worked, however, I managed to unlcok it by pressing "11110000" on the remote!
And it appears that pressing the "INDEX" key on the remote activates the parental lock...
So I guess I should be paying myself now... :-)
Sure - but how do I do that?...
Thank you very much anyway!
