Hi,
My apologies - I submitted this last night but upon checking for any reply from you, I noticed it had not been posted on the page. I now have to write the entire message again!
Obtaining the part is easy, however fitting it is going to be somewhat more difficult as it's a double oven - meaning it's both higher and heavier. Access for replacing the switch and removing the front panel is from the top so the oven will need to be pulled out from the cabinet or removed. However, the double glass doors make the oven rather front-heavy so it's inclined to topple forward!
This is an expensive appliance and I recommend getting this job done professionally. Should you decide to do the job yourself, you do so at your own risk and you should follow all of the saftey instuctions carefully.
The best - and usually cheapest - place to get any genuine Bosch part is directly from Bosch. They normally deliver in 2-3 working days. The Bosch part number you need is 602732:

Fitting instructions:
I prefer to do this job with the oven fully removed from the housing but it's probably hardwired to the switch/breaker and needs two people to lift it out. Not removing it also means you have to work at a much greater height, so I recommend complete removal, if possible. The job can be done with the oven only half pulled forward from the cabinet, but the front of the oven needs to be fully supported after pulling it forward or the weight of the doors can (and will) cause it to topple forward.
?
1. Power off at the breaker/main switch. If you are going to completely remove the oven, you will need to power off at the main fuse box and then remove the oven power cable from the switch.
2. Remove the screws which secure the oven to cabinet - these are at the sides and are only visible with the doors open
3. Pull the oven control knob off of the fascia panel.
4. Remove the oven completely or pull it forward half-way (see above)
5. Remove the front half of the top panel of the oven. I think it just unclips on these, but there may be a couple of screws to remove at the side first. You will now have access to the switch area.
6. Make a detailed note of how all the wires are attached to the main oven switch. It's a good idea to take a digital photo for reference. Some of the wires are the same colours so make sure you don't get them mixed up. Also, some of the terminals on the switch are double, so it's best to draw a diagram and give all the terminals numbers and record which wire goes to each one.
7. Detach all,the wires from the oven selector switch. There is another white "box" attached to the back of the switch, but you don't need to disconnect the wires from this. This box is the thermostat which is attached to the temperature probe in the oven with a long wire.
8. Remove the screws securing the selector switch to the oven and detach the switch. Make note of how all the parts - switch / bracket / support, etc - fit together. Another digital photo may be useful here.
9. Unscrew and pull the thermostat out from the back of the selector switch. You should now be able to remove the switch from the oven.
10. Assemble the new selector switch with the bracket, support, thermostat, etc and secure it to the oven.
11. Refit everything else in reverse order of the above.

This may be a little bit more complicated than you were expecting. If you don't feel confident to do the work yourself, then please seek professional help. If you do decide to DIY and you let me know when you are planning to do it, I can try to be online to assist you if you get stuck anywhere.
Merry Christmas!

Please ignore the errant question marks above. FixYa somehow inserted them into the text formatting post-submission! They are not an indication of any uncertainty on my part!
I'm still wondering whether you recieved the part in time and Christmas dinner was saved?
Hi
Had exactly the same problem. Solution was not the switch selector but stupid little blue plastic bits that join the switch and the the thermostat - proper name is Coupling Connection piece oven thermostat to switch handle holder, part number 420601 cost 32p each. They had just disintegrated, so bought 6 (same on all switches) in case they go again!
Echoing aperry's comment - it's the coupling that goes, not the switch. Make sure you get the exact right part number (quite straight forward using Bosch's very helpful parts diagram). Enter your exact model number locating on the left of the inside of the oven when you open the door, and find the right part that way. I have to admit though, fitting this was a bit tricky, and there is definitely a risk that the oven will fall on your foot. Get a professional to help you with this if you are at all unsure.

I didn't notice you had already posted another - now we have triplicate! I will post all further replies to this request. Sorry, I should also have checked - is it the switch for the smaller upper oven/grill or the lower main oven?
Its the lower main oven
Thanks. It's going to take me a couple of hours before I can post back, but I promise I will do it this evening - will that be a problem for you?
