Question about Rand Mcnally TND 500 Car GPS Receiver

I bought this TND 700 five days ago...... Today when I turned it off, the power button (red one on the top of the GPS) went inward..... it wont come out.... any solution

Take a small nife or flat head scre driver and around the edge of the screen gently pry the seem apart inch by inch around both sides and the top the orange power button just needs to be put bak into place thats it i just fixed mine 5 min ago:..

Tnd 700 shows power but screen wont come on

Regarding our TND 500 we never fixed our problems. Needless to say, it was out of warranty for about a month and the company really was no help. I am sorry I am unable to help, but we just gave up on the issues with ours. We went out and bought a Garmin. Good luck to you.

Power button

Tip on this unit is long triangle shape in the case. Could be possible that it broke but i don't think so think it might just be wore down. 710 ia an old unit an has been out for few years, so it seems likely that with the use you put it through it probably wore out. You can take the unit apart and check if you want depending on how comfortable you are with this type of work. If you need help or directions with how to take it apart let me know and i will post some instructions for you on how to do it.

Your TND 700 has internal file corruption.You may be able to take it back where you bought it for repair or exchange, or if you have a full backup on your computer,you may be able to restore the unit using the usb cable.

Try pressing the reset button on the back or the side of the TND. If it still will not power on contact Rand McNally support. Be sure to have your serial number handy, (back of TND, bottom right)

TomTom go 700 flashing cross at start up

U need just one original file from zour tomtom and that is ttgo.bif so keep that file safe and copy everything from working unit (even better with patched system) to your unit, !!!!! dont use TomTom Home !!!! just through drive (if its not there cant help), just possible that u need now maps activated for your unit, u can find info how to this anywhere,

it could have over heated you can try to reset it first unplug it for about five minutes and try to turn it on if that dont work the remote might have a set button try holding that down until the red light flashes twice, then turn it on if not then hold the power button down on the set for a good five seconds to see if that resets it. if none of that works you will have to go to panasonic .com for the reset instructions.with the red light blinking the power supply is most likely good you just need to reset i.

GPSmap 60Csx power up problems

I had the problem where I ended up disassembling the Garmin and adding a small piece of plastic to the on/off button. For some reason the push button on the top does not reach the one on the circuit board.
