I have a total of two standard tv's currently connected to my Dish receiver box 322. I would like to upgrade my main tv to a LCD tv. Can I still keep the 322 receiver or will I need to upgrade to a HD programming receiver?

Hello, this is Nick Franta with DISH Network Customer Support.

You can still keep the 322 receiver with your new LCD tv. An HD receiver upgrade would be beneifical as well to make sure you maintain the best picture quality.

Will dish network 510 receiver work in uhf with dish 21.1 remote

No, the 510 receiver does not have a UHF input. http://manuals.solidsignal.com/DVR510.pdf You can upgrade to a 512, 612, 625, but would need your installation upgraded to be compatable (Dish Pro to Dish Pro Plus).

Join dish1000.2 with dish322receiver

Hi nganhoang54,

A 1000.2 dish is mainly used on HD equipment to bring in the 3 satellites required. For a 322, the best choice of dish would be a Dish 500.

To hookup a 1000.2 dish, you would need to point the dish, and run the line into a Diplexor. From the Diplexor side with one connection, run another cable into the single connection of another Diplexor, and from there one cable into a splitter for the Sat In connections. Take the TV2 Home Distribution cable and put it into the other port on the Diplexor, and connect TV2 from the open port on your first Diplexor.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Added a 322 reciever to my lake house to be able to watch tv in 3rd room i had 2 standard recievers before. i installed a dish pro quad lnb & reciever had a separator w/it says dp plus 123254 tuner 2...

Is TV 2 off the 322 receiver being back fed from the receiver or do you have a direct connection to the 3rd room? If it is a direct connection, you would screw the coax from the 3rd bedroom directly to the TV 2 Home Distribution channel 21-69 out port.

If you are back feeding, you need 2 diplexers that connect 1) by the receiver and 2) between the receiver and the 3rd TV. The back feeding will use the same cable coming from the dish to the receiver.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

My TV says i have no signal but the other 2 TV work and we have the same cable Dish Network

Hi Mary with Dish Network Customer Service. Are you getting an error message? One of the easiest fixes for signal issues is to reset the receiver box (Unplug the power cord for 10 seconds, then let it reboot). You might want to check all the cable connections from where the Satellite comes into the room and up to the receiver box. I hope this solves your issue but if you are still having issues, please let me know! Have a great day!

I am getting black borders top & bottom on some channels and side to side as well on Fox on my Dish Net receiver 322 to analog TV.

Hey there! Becki Barned from Dish Network customer service here. The black borders are usually caused by watching standard definition programming on a high definition television. Try to change the format on your tv. Either by pressing the * button below the 7, or trying a format or display button on the original tv remote. Hope this helps!!!

322 receiver trying to acquire a sat signal for 5 days 0 out of 5 progress please help

Hi, Mary with Dish network Customer Service. The issue you are experiencing is a complete satellite signal loss message. If you are experiencing severe weather right now it is best to wait till it passes. Then you can reset the receiver box by unplugging it for 10 seconds from the power and then allow it to reboot. Also check all the connections in the room with the receiver box from the wall up to the receiver itself. If it does not get off 0 progress of 5, you will need to call Dish network and will probably need a Service Technician Visit scheduled.

My dish 322 receiver wont work 2 tv,to get service

  • There are two satellite inputs on the back of a 322. There may be a single cable going to a splitter connected to these two ports or two individual cables.
  • If there are two cables swap them, if you still get signal on the same input only then the receivers input is dead.Otherwise follow the bad cable and ensure it is not damaged or disconnected. Swap the location on the other end and see if the issue stays on the same cable. If so replace the cable, if not replace the LNB or Switch.
  • If there is a splitter bypass it and connect the single cable directly to the input that does not work. If there is no signal the port is bad, replace the receiver. If there is signal then reconnect the splitter, press menu 6-1-1, check switch, and then test. Allow the test to finish. If the two inputs do not match replace the splitter... Its called a DP Seperator

Does the dish network 322 receiver require two lines from the satellite to the receiver?

It does require 2 lines form dish unless you have a switch installed such as a dp34 or you have Dish Pro plus LNB"S on your dish and you can use 1 feed to the reciver and use a separator to separate the signal into sat 1 and sat 2 (note: a standard splitter is NOT a separator) a separator is dish brand equipment.

Problem jumps back and froth from tv1 to tv2

One of the inputs on the back of the 322 box is bad. usaly 1 wire runs from the dish into a seperator that splits the signal into 2 at the back of the box. you will need to call dish and have a new 322 sent out. 1-888-333-3474
