Cracked screen & white dots appearing since the crack appeared

I have a Mitsubishi TV and had the same problem. There is a mirror that moves to control each pixel. When some of them fail to move you get the white dots. Google your problem and a company will come up(sorry forgot the name).,you can buy the new part from them and they have exact utube videos to help you do the repair. Took me about an hour. Part was around $150. Very rewarding feeling when you turn the tv back on with no white dots.Still dot free after two years

Three small white dots have appeared on the screen. What does it mean, is the lamp going bad?

White dots are caused by the DLP chip failing. This part must be replaced to get rid of the white dots. Samsung is covering the cost to repair this problem on several models. Ypu can call 1-800-samsung to find if your unit is covered.

We have a Samsumg tv model HLT6176SX/XAA. A little over a week ago, we noticed several white-ish/blue dots appearing on the screen. Within days, It turned to have these dots ALL OVER the screen along...

I'm running into the exact same problem with mine. I bought mine in November of 08 and it looks horrible. I got on the phone with Samsung 3 months ago and the follow up from this company is regrettably horrific. I've spoken to 8 different people including that of the special assistance team to no avail. Its a shame that we have to deal with this and its even more shameful to think that Samsung has the ability to fix it however they choose not to. For the amount of money it will take to fix this I might as well buy a new tv! Disgraceful and Samsung should be ashamed. I know that the 720P is on the warranty list, why isn't ours?

Have white dots on screen. model HL-S4266W

it seems like you might have an issue with your dmd board. Go to the tv menu and if the dots also show there, the issue is with the dmd board, but if they don't, it's with the video board
