probably you got a processing unit problem, which makes your tv stopping recognizing the screen information . you should try resetting all factory default settings, if this doesn't work, you will have to take the TV to an assistance center .
Hi guys, I have the same model, and after reasing the manual a little closer and skimming the setup menu I've discovered that it's not actually a built in ambient light, it's actually a setting in the picture menu under "active control" that measures the ambient light in the room and adjusts the picture quality accordingly to ensure the best contrast and reduce glare/reflect imaging. Hope this helps....
sounds like if its flat screen the lcd went out. The flickering was the screen having to reset itself. Try un plugging it for 40 min. and trying it again. could possibly re-set it again but 90% chance the Lcd is out. if its not lcd and its rear projection the the projector has died.
Can be replaced for about 1/2the price of a new one today.
