The Proview HV-145 installed in the RV trailer we purchased is hooked up to the antenna on the RV roof, which we raise/lower. The cable is routed from the anntenna, through a signal booster, and then to the TV. However, when turned on the screen says "No Signal". A DVD player is also connected to the TV and it works and plays DVDs just fine. Someone suggested a signal converter might be needed?

Purchase your UHF/VHF antenna. The antenna can also be purchased at most electronic and retail stores. Consult your list from Step 1 and see how powerful the over-the-air signals are for your specific address. Purchase your antenna based on the broadcasting power you need to receive a clear picture on your TV. You might be able to get away with an indoor antenna if your signal strength is strong enough. If not, you'll need to purchase an outdoor antenna.

4 Install your antenna (or have it done professionally) according to the building codes of your area. If you must use an outdoor antenna, it is a good idea to have the antenna professionally installed. This ensures that it is properly grounded on your roof, not too close to electrical wiring and stable during inclement weather.

5 Hook the converter box up to your television using the cable that came with it (F Cable). Hook your antenna up to the converter Box. Turn on your TV and converter box. Tune your TV to channel 3 and press "Scan" on the digital convert box. Allow the box to scan for your available channels.

6 View your picture and adjust your antenna accordingly for the clearest over-the-air feed. You should only need to make adjustments once. If you are having a difficult time getting a clear picture, use a signal strength indicator to see where you receive the most powerful signal.

What part about installation are you having problems with, and what are you installing it on? Do you have both upper (roof) unit & lower ( at ceiling) ? Is it a ducted system or blowing directly from ceiling assy?

It's not that easy to change the cable that raises and lowers the roof. Make sure you have it raise equally on all 4 corners or else you may end up breaking another cable or it may rise uneven or not even get high enough.

You will need a CB radio antenna, The CB radio and mounting hardware as well as the power wire.

Choose a place to mount the radio. Mount it. Run the power wires from the radio to the fuse box. Put red wire in with the fuse that is hooked to switched 12 volt. Ground the black wire to any metal of the vehicle.

Next find a place to mount the antenna. If you use a mag mount, the roof of the cab is a best bet. Run the wire into the vehicle, it can go through the door, just make sure its not going to get pinched.

Hook the coax from the antenna to the radio

Now you have to tune the antenna. this is important because if you don't you you will blow the transmit final transistor out in the radio.

Shut off Any AC power (hydro) to it, remove ceiling assy (inside part) and you'll see 4 bolts going up through lower assy, and into base of upper assy (roof unit) . Remove those 4 bolts and any wiring harness connected from lower to upper unit. Lift it off. If your just replacing the upper assy, leave hydro wires hooked up to lower assy , and let it hang, while you clean surface on roof for new install. Re-install 4 bolts and tighten equally until gasket is approx 1/2 thickness it was before tightening. Re-install wiring harness plug in to lower unit etc. If not replacing, but removing entire assy (upper and lower) be sure to Marette and tape hydro wires as well as any 12 volt wires, and tuck away safely. Install a vent on current opening , or whatever you choose.
