Just fixed this problem myself. so first i took out the battery then put it back in didn't wait a specific amount of time or anything. i just popped it out blew the inside then put the battery back in. next i switched it to ST from LB stepped on it stepped off it then stepped on it again and it reset. then i put it back to LB and voila it worked again!

In the event that the scale battery needs to be replaced, (display shows "Lo"),
open the battery cover on the bottom of the scale and replace the old battery with
a new 3V lithium battery.

Model 9114 salter scale shows Lo. I have changed the batteries but it still only shows Lo.

I had the same problem and, suspecting that the metal contacts weren't making proper contact with the batteries, I used a long nosed pliers to gently bend all ten contacts towards to the batteries (there are eight small tabs in the battery compartment, and two on the battery cover). If you don't have a long nosed pliers a small screwdriver should do it if you held the fixed part of each set of contacts so it doesn't detach during the process.
Unfortunately, it worked, but only for one weigh, and then it reverted to "Lo". This happened twice, so I telephoned the Salter Customer Service Helpline (01732 360783) who recommended a reset, which is done by removing the batteries, standing on the scale for 20 seconds, and replacing the batteries. That also only worked for one weigh, so they are looking into it further and I'll post the results here, but in the meantime I hope one of the above solutions will work for others.

My scale showed Lo, no reading, then I replaced battery, now shows nothing, dead. What do I do next?

The Instruction Book for your scale can be found here:

Sounds like no power. Check for correct battery replacement; may need to verify that your replacement batteyr is still good.

Battery Replacement

1. Use 3 volt CR2032 lithium battery (as installed).

2. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the scale.

3. Remove the old battery from the compartment.

4. Place the new battery with the "+" sign up into the battery compartment.

5. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Scale keeps showing lo no weight

Try taking the battery out and putting it back in, also there should be a small reset button. You will need a toothpick to push the reset button. Allow time for the scale to reset before stepping on it.
