My korg kp3 has worked perfectly for the last three years. The other day when I plugged it in and engaged the power switch, it would not turn on. I haven't dropped the unit or the power supply and nothing appears damaged. I'm hoping that I just need a new power supply and that there is not some internal electrical short. Any advice?

I agree, it's probably either the power supply (has it a fuse?) or the power connector or the power switch or an internal fuse. Probably a simple fix.

You would need to use a TRANSFORMER type stepdown. If you have used one of the cheap ones intended for hair drier type appliances you have damaged your unit. You will have to send it to a repoair facility in that case. Here is example of CORRECT type:

Hi, I have a korg D8 recorder and that i use pretty regularly. One day i switched it on and it was completely dead - no lights, nothing. I've tested the power supply (the one it was supplied with ) and...

Most common cause are failed connectors. Power inout jack failures are common. Beyond that, tracing out the power input for a failure would be in order.

My korg le won't turn on.. it worked great then one day went to turn it on and nothing any suggestions?

First thing is to check your power adapter. It should be producing something over 9 volts AC. Also check that this connector is seated.
Also check the adapter is getting power. Some have had their adapter in a plug strip and the weight of the adapter has turned off the switch on the strip... silly but it happens.
