I live in an apartment and have a small stackable whirlpool front loading washer and dryer. After completing a wash cycle, the door remains locked on the washer and I cannot figure out how to unlock the door. I ran another wash cycle but again at the end of cycle, the door remains locked and I cannot get the clothes out. Please help.

Stackable whirlpool washer says den on display model wfw3090jw0 help can't get washer to start

Checked the manual. No such error code. Check if the lid or door can be properly shut or does it bounce back to half open. If it does then the door lock mechanism needs repair.

Download/read the user manual from here:

Started a quick was cycle to test washer without cloths. It agitates for about 10 seconds, stops for 5 seconds and agitates for 10 seconds again. The light array is suggesting it is going from wash.

new washers usualy start a brief agitate then locks the door and then starts watering again. depending on washer model it can do this a couple times to evenly soak the clothes at the start of a wash cycle. it is advised to not run full cycle in the washing machine with no clothes for it can damage the unit.

I have lse7806ace (stackable) and problem with water leak. I live in condo and this washer/dryer stackable in small closet. I can't reach locking tabs. This stackable is also on the pan (bottom). 'BTW,...

Remove the 2 screws which hold the lower front washer panel , lift out from the bottom and remove the panel. You can now run the machine and use a flashlight to see where the leak maybe. Usually the top tub seal under the plastic tub cover will leak. The other possibility is the main tub bearing and seal on the main tub where the transmission goes up through tub. Hope this helps.

Whirlpool Duet front load washer. Put car mats in to wash. They are too wide and don't let drum spin. Stopped in first few seconds of cycle and error code came up but, door remains locked. How do I open...

1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier.
2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose.
3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located.
4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.

My front loader door wont lock

Believe it or not, you may be able to fix that yourself with some spray lubricant applied to the shaft of the electric lock mechanism, but you will have to remove the lock to lube where it's stuck. Then you will need to work the locking jaw back and forth till it breaks free then reinstall.

Mle2000ayw Stackable washer/dryer not washing, spinning

If the door lock light is on then is might be the "door lock enable spin switch" the plunger at the opposite end from the wax motor is not fully depressing the switch. In the stackable it is just behing the door lock. Remove the two middle covers (2 white phillips screws and one hex head screw on the middle of lower cover by the wires)to test place a few layers of masking tape on the end of the plunger and cycle the machine. Might also be a weak Wax motor (dark brown in color) to be safe replace both for about $12 each. Fix in 10 - 15 min.

This error code indicates that the door is not locking.
Is the washer door firmly shut?
The door must be completely closed for the washer to operate. The door may look as if it's closed, but it may not be latched. Open the door and firmly close it.
Were you washing a large load?
Before you close the washer door, check for laundry items sticking out beyond the door opening. Leave enough space in the washer to allow the clothes to freely tumble. Reduce your load size if needed.
fl_doorseal.jpg To remove the error display, press Pause/Cancel twice.
hcz_003_web_env1.gif

If Pause/Cancel does not work:
  1. Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
  2. Plug in the washer or reconnect the power.
  3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.
NOTE: If the error remains on the display, and all of the other conditions above have been checked, call for service.

Front load washer stops and starts and door lock light remains on

You probably have a bad door latch or door interlock. Both, if defective will cause the symptoms you describe. The door must remain closed and lock before a wash cycle will begin, and for it to complete properly.
