Question about Whirlpool LGB6300 Gas Dryer
If you are sure you are smelling burning motor, I suspect very much that your motor bearings are seizing up from lack of lube. You can confirm this by remove the belt and the drum and then try spinning the motor by hand. It should spin easily with a couple of fingers and coast at least a part of a turn. If you can't turn the motor itself with a couple of fingers, the motor is seizing up while running. Post a comment to me if this is what happens and I will try to give you a return comment on how to deal with it without buying a new motor. Make sure you turn off all power before dealing with this. Best pull the plug from the wall.
