If the Phone says invalid Sim card means it locked to some network,You need to Unlock it.....You can Unlock the Phone,using the Unlock code from here Superunlockcodes and Unlock it.Check code for Your network lock and Country and Unlock it.....Then after unlock it you can use any GSM Network Sim card in the Phone,.

hi invalid Sim occurs because your mobile is locked to particular network due to this it accept only that particular network if you insert other provider sim card it shows invalid sim to remove this you should unlock your mobile we can unlock using software,cable ,codes etc but codes seems to be simple compared to other since it saves our time a lot many online sites render unlock codes

here you select the model of your mobile and country provider to which your mobile get locked and get the unlock codes from them.

mine done the same, i put the sim into my dads phone and it aksed for a puk code i got a puk code from orange customer services and unlocked the sim using my dads phone when i put it back into my viewty all was fine hope this helps

USIM is 3G only SIM card and is working ONLY with 3G enabled devices. LG Cookie isn't 3G device so it won't accept USIM.

This has alos happened to me, I put in the wrong pin 3 times, then as it was laste and it was asking for a puk, I turned the phone off to save the battery, when I turned it back on it came up 'Invalid USIM card' is there anything that can be done?

Is the phone unlocked, because if it is not, and you put a different USIM into the phone than what came with the phone, it will not work.

Debbie invalid usim means its been barred by the network, so whom ever the network provider is for the phone you will have to give them a call and ask them to un barr as you have just brought it. We brought on off ebay at christmas on orange as we're on orange and had the same problem. We called them and they took the barr off straight away, no charge. Jan

It sounds as though the phone is locked. When I had this happen to my Samsung A707, I had to send it back to Samsung to get it reprogrammed. (There are people who have bought the necessary hardware to interface with a mobile phone's OS, but I preferred Samsung themselves.) This was a free service (except for shipping) from Samsung. If you contact Motorola, they might be able to simply reprogram the phone for you.
