The problem is most likely in the DC jack in the laptop, "common issue" the laptop must be dismantled down to the motherboard level, chances are the main board must be removed from the bottom chassis and flipped over to expose the solder joints underneath the DC jack and a resolder touch up done.
I have a cybershot DSC W55. When the power button is switched on the
lens extends and the "access" message shown on screen. Also amber light
is flashing above screen. After a few seconds I get a message to power
on and off again. I\'ve tried switching on and off a few times,
removing battery pack and memory card, but nothing seems to be solving
the problem.
when i turn the printer on the light flashes amber several times, then green then repeats flashing amber, and back to green etc. turning it off and back on made no difference. last time it worked normally after being off for a couple of days, but now it is doing that again.

amber is the colour...remove LAMP assembly...properly re-insert LAMP assembly back into TV...make sure it looks secure....close door and tighten screw.....door MUST be shut properly or TV will not operate correctly..it sounds too easy i understand TRY it you might be surprised!!!
It could be the battery is already degraded. If the battery is more than 2 yrs. old you could check the battery health meter and see if you need to replace it. Hope this helps
