The reason you're not finding any bad caps is that's not the issue. If it was the set wouldn't power up then shut down, faulty caps don't cause issues like this. One thing that would have helped is the model number but I have a good idea what's causing your issue. When the set is powered on it goes through the boot log sequence, this is stored in the EEPROM that's located on the main board, chances are if you take a can of freeze spray and freeze the IC the set will power up as this IC isn't used once the set has powered on but it would only work one time but it's a way to confirm if this is the issue. If you have advanced solder skills you can order an IC and replace it for under 20 bucks, but it's not something easy to do without the skills or equipment, the other option is replacing the main board, however that may run more than it's worth so buying a new TV may make more sense

Power supply board u fixed before was good,but the tv main Tuner signal board it was working on it last leg.Distorted picture screen loud static noises are the indications of the tv main Tuner signal board are not regulating signals of all of those ICS output on the tv main Tuner signal board it is dying and now it is dead.Don't change the T-CON bord it is good.Tries Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish tv main Tuner signal board for the replacement.

This problems u have 90% it is the tv Tuner signal board,that the board,where the imcomming broadcasting signal cables plug into it.This problems also 10% could be power supply board have dying capacitors parts.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Check all over the power supply board for capacitors are bulging ups on tops or puffing up on it tops.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those refurbishes boards the tv Tuner signal board or the power supply board for the replacement.

Replace the main power supply as the smoothing capacitors are low value due to ageing.

Probably a new problem given the age of the TV. If you already haven't done so, try unplugging the power for about 10 minutes, plug back in and try again.

Sounds like an issue with the power and or main board. Contact samsung and describe your problem to them. A lot of samsung parts have lifetime warranties and the service call is free. so definitely check with samsung and see if you can get a comp repair. hope this helps, j

flickering is a sign that bulb will go out soon. Also check if the bulb fan is clean and running.

Unplug for 24 hours, then try again. Also check batteries in remote. If neither works, have unit cheked by pro/tech
