Moved my computer and now my monitor won't wake up. unplugging the cord to the computer comes up with a no connection signal but the blue light stops flashing. Plugging the cord to the computer back in starts the blue light flashing again and a monitor asleep. Is there a setting in the computer that can force a monitor to come out of sleep mode?

Be sure computer is actually starting. Power off then on computer you should see the boot sequence and then windows screen on monitor. If you do not see startup sequence monitor is not sleeping either the monitor has failed or the video card has failed. Try another monitor first.

SOURCE: AOC Monitor says "no signal" and won't wake up!

This monitor refuses to wake up because it cannot find the signal from the computer.

When the light is amber, force the pc to shut down by holding the power button until all lights go off. Then, after about 10 seconds, power the pc back up again.

If this does not start your monitor, unplug all the monitors connections and plug them back in again. These things should reform the connection from the pc to the monitor.

good luck

SOURCE: Monitor going to sleep

You most likely have a hardware failure.

Your video card or on-board video in the computer is probably dead.

Slow flashing blue power lite. Monitor shows no

First when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode.
If you are able to enter then go to start menu->control panel->display property ->settings.
Change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
But if you are not able to see safe mode and other menu.
Then open cpu cabinet .
Refix RAM memory.
Pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes.
Reattach all connection harddrive.
Open processor fan and processor remove dust from all parts.
Make sure motherboard is not ground with cabinet.
Remove PCI cards if any.
After all above still same then change RAM then try.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a sonicview monitor vx2235wm. I unplugged it from the computer and moved the computer. Now that it is plugged back in it says ''no signal digital'' I moved another monitor to it and it says the same...

I hate to sound like a dip stick but, you did connect the power cord to power did you connect the monitor to the computer? Was the light on on the monitor? was it blue? Was it orange or red? Did you press the power button on the monitor? Try those things, most generally people forget to either install the cords properly or power up the monitor. Once the monitor is powered you don't normally have to do it again. Hope this works for you. If not send me an email and we can try something else.

Dell E173FP Monitor requires unplugging/plugging back in to wake

Perhaps your computer is hibernating instead of going into standby which takes a little longer to wake up from. While you are playing plugs and cables it give it enough time to come out of hibernation.

When the computer is in this mode the USB ports turn off which disables keyboard and mouse so the only way to wake up the computer is to press the power button on the computer itself.

One tell tale sign a computer is in hibernation is that the power light on the computer will slowly blink.

I hope this helps.

Monitor says no signal

this could be a multitude of things. Firstly, check the connections from your computer to your monitor, unplug them and plug them back in, make sure the thumb screws that connect your monitor to your computer and nice and tight but dont use a tool to tighten them, hand tight is good enough.
If that doesnt work, then check that your graphics car hasnt been unseated from its slot, TURN OFF THE POWER to your pc, open the case and look at the graphics card inside. Push it straight back against the slot and that might help.Try connecting the monitor to another computer, although I dont think its a monitor problem. or borrow a monitor from another computer and try it. If that doesnt help then you can try a different graphics card, if you dont have one they are readily available from most major electorincs stores, or even most supermarkets with an electronics dept. Now if you do all this and it doesnt fix it then you will need to find a tech to have a look at it, Like I said at the beggining it could be a multitude of sins, a hardware error stopping the computer from booting and that requires a little technical knowledge

Monitor has no picture

Yes! :)

Your monitor is not the problem. Check all the connections from the back of the monitor, to the computer.

"No Signal Analog" means your monitor is working perfectly, however is not receiving signal from the computer.

Didnt find any loose cables?
Try unplugging everything. Leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes. You need to give the system time to drain all the excess power.

Again your monitor is fine, blue light > No signal > orange light is totally normal for your montior.
