Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model laptop,

After you download the driver file, click on this file and it will unzip/expand the drivers and copies the files to the hard drive in c:drivers... take a note of the folder it has created to store the driver files and then go to this folder and run the SETUP file.

First off this machine wasn't really designed for Windows 98. Here's a couple of links that may help. The first is for a bios update to fix a few system bugs. Keep in mind that the bios are VERY important and you don't want to screw them up, so, either download and create a diskette or download and save to the desktop before running. The second is for A21 drivers. You may want to download any utility drivers that run with Windows 98. Your current drivers may be for 2000 or XP, and may be creating a conflict.
