Our Polygun TC was left on for several days. It is difficult to thumb push in the 2" glue slug and is spewing a dark molasses color from the glue tip. How do we clean and clear this problem to easily exude a clear adhesive using 3M HM Glue #3764? Is this tool burnt out or? Thank you in advance. Terry Ettkins [email protected]

Hi,
The dark molasses is the old glue that is in the gun that was "cooked" I don't think the tool is burnt out. I would take a shot at pushing sticks into the gun while it is heated up until the glue that comes out of the tip turns clear. Then the gun should now be "cleaned"
Then unplug it, so that it cools down. After it is cooled , you will be able to remove the old dried up goo from around the tip so that it is completely clean.
WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE THE GUN IN WATER
The gun is not really designed to be disassembled and cleaned.
The next time you use it, it should be fine.
Hope this helps,
Mark

I am making a oatmel pie calling for dark syrup.. I would like to use dark molasses I have on hand .. can I and how much. thanks!

Dark syrup is not the same thing as dark molasses; it is a sibling to corn syrup. The closest alternative to dark syrup, if you can't find it, is mixing three parts light corn syrup and one part molasses. This will give you the closes flavor with common pantry items.

What can I substitute for molasses

That depends upon what you have available. Classic baked beans require molasses - if you substitute anything else, you won't be making classic baked beans, you'll be making something else. Might taste good, though.

How do i insert glue stick in to my emhardt electric glue gun

Insert the glue stick into the back of the gun. After doing this plug in the gun and allow it to heat up. When the gun reaches the correct heat level you will be able to pull the trigger of the gun which will pull the stick into the gun. This will only happen if the gun is hot enough.

Where is the oil plug on a 1999 jeep wrangler

The motor oil drain plug is located on the passenger side under the the vehicle. Look for a pan or tray looking plate with several small bolts that go all the way around the edge of this "pan" It will have one single nut threaded into the bottom edge facing or pointing to the rear of vehicle and it will be dimpled slightly outward around the controured area where this bolt threads in. Left to loosen and you will notice oil come dripping out of it as it gets closer to taking the whole bolt out. Transmissions usually do not have a drainplug on the bottom pan and transmission lube is red to dark cherry red in color. Motor oil will be either honey color or dark like coffee or molasses. I hope this helps.
